EMPLOYMENT CASE STUDIES
As well as working with people with a learning disability themselves, Unity Works also works closely with businesses and employers, to support them to make their recruitment practice more inclusive and accessible.
We are especially proud of our work with the BBC to offer advice on employing adults with a learning disability.
The partnership began when the BBC, who had attended an event featuring the people Unity Works supports, reached out to us to explore how they could create more job opportunities for people with a learning disability. Unity Works supported the BBC with interview skills training, mentoring and support systems for people with a learning disability, as well as providing Disability Awareness training to staff.
"The Unity Works disability sessions are an indispensable tool for employers and all those looking to support neuro-diverse talent.”
